A two-person studio, a great many flowers
Custom & Spark Co. began in 2019, in a spare room, with one bride's marigold varmala and a stubborn refusal to let it turn to dust in a cupboard.
Six years later we are still two people and one long wooden bench. We take a limited number of commissions each month because drying flowers cannot be rushed and resin cures on its own schedule.
We work with food-grade, UV-stable epoxy, real preserved botanicals and metals that will not turn your fingers green. Everything is finished by hand, which is why the pieces feel like objects rather than products.
If you are holding onto flowers and are not sure whether they can still be saved — ask us. The answer is usually yes.
How a commission works
Four steps, four to seven weeks
01 · Tell us the story
Share photos of the flowers, the date, and where the finished piece will live. We reply with a layout suggestion and a fixed quote.
02 · Flowers reach us
Courier them yourself or book our pickup. Fresh garlands should reach us within 48 hours of the ceremony for the best colour.
03 · Drying & arranging
Two weeks of slow silica drying, petal by petal, then a hand-arranged layout we photograph and send you for approval.
04 · Pour, cure, finish
Deep-pour resin cures for 72 hours, then seven stages of sanding and a final polish before it is boxed and shipped insured.
